General Description:
70,000 original miles. All Numbers matching, and is in absolutely beautiful condition - show and drive quality.
It qualifies for collector plates in BC.
History:
This car is an original Tempe Arizona car that was stored in controlled facility for the past 10 years by previous Canadian collector/owner and driven only on occasion.
I am the 3rd owner.
Engine/Transmission:
Original 454 LS5 with a TH RPO M40 transmission.
Runs smooth and burns no oil, does smoke in start or under hard acceleration.
Air Conditioning:
AC is all new with compressor and components as I have updated to the new R134 coolant for compliance. Operates as new.
Tires and wheels:
New BF Goodrich Radial T/A P255 60 15 with warranty. Wheels are the 15X8 original Kelsey Hayes GM date code stamped.
Exhaust:
True dual exhaust with factory spec mufflers.
Chrome and Bumpers:
Excellent condition chrome all around.
Interior:
Specified Red interior is excellent condition. Carpet and seats are beautiful..No cracks in dash or door panels. No visible wear on any of the interior components. Original Delco AM/FM radio. Car has original lap belts as well as new 3 point shoulder retractable belts.
Frame and Birdcage:
Frame is solid steel free of any rust and is tastefully painted.
Convertible top:
Top is excellent with tight fit. Frame operates with ease and has no sign of excessive wear.
Gauges,Instruments and Console:
All gauges working perfect. Clock does not work. Accurate readings on gas gauge and oil pressure measures spot on.
Vacuum Operations:
Wipers and headlights pop up and work perfectly as designed.
Driving:
Car is really nice. Lots of torque and acceleration power from the 454/LS5.
The engine rebuild (at approx 68000 miles), has increased HP to approx 330hp/455tq as it accelerates with tremendous power from the TH RPO M40 and LS5 combination. M40 shifts smooth and kicks down for great passing power. No clunk or hesitation from this transmission. Many prefer a 4spd setup vs an automatic but the TH400 can shift manually which it really does make it a fun drive.
This car is well priced below value.
